Important points:

Reading - We aim to hear your child read every day during Shared Reading so please ensure that the children's planners come to school every day. Individual readers will also be heard daily.

ClothingIt is important that children are suitably clothed for indoor and outdoor activities. The weather is unpredictable and we would like to ensure that children can access their learning outside regardless of the weather. Children are expected to have black pumps to wear indoors and a pair of shoes/boots/wellies to wear for outdoor play.

Homework - It is strongly encouraged that parents supported homework. The activities sent home will build on their learning from that week or will be an activity individualised for your child.

Please encourage your child to write and read at home. Talk to them about the things they see, asking them to identify initial sounds and to tell you the sounds they can hear in the words. Encourage them to talk in full sentences. This helps to develop their vocabulary but also allows them to arrange and sequence their ideas.

Only when we work together can we enable your child to reach their full potential.

Most importantly – be your child’s biggest fan!
