Pupil Safety

At our school, the safety and happiness of every child is our top priority. We work hard to make sure our school is a safe, caring, and respectful place where children feel listened to, supported, and confident to ask for help.

We teach children how to keep themselves safe, how to treat others kindly, and what to do if something doesn’t feel right.

Our Approach to Pupil Safety

We work hard to create a calm, caring, and positive environment where children:

  • Feel safe in school
  • Know who they can talk to if they are worried
  • Are taught how to look after themselves and others
  • Are listened to and taken seriously

Children are encouraged to speak up and are reassured that adults will always try to help.

Pupil safety works best when school, families, and pupils work together. We encourage open communication and early sharing of concerns.

If something doesn’t feel right, please tell us – we are always here to help.

At Highfields Primary Academy, keeping pupils safe is everyone’s responsibility.
